Erika Wilson

Erika Wilson is a visual artist based in Salt Lake City, UT. Using multiple mediums, including acrylic paint, soft pastels, gouache, and ink, she creates work reflective of change: seasonal shifting, growth cycling, time passing. Her work depicts contemporary interpretations of plants and places.

Erika is deeply inspired by the natural wilderness of Utah and spends much of her time recreating in the lush backcountry of the Wasatch and Uinta Mountains, or in the canyon country of southeastern Utah, capturing the colors of the springtime desert bloom. Equally, her work draws from cultivated nature found in urban spaces, such as gardens and house plants.

Through vibrant color and dramatic line, Erika creates artwork that provokes wonderment, engages curiosity, and invites viewers to experience their senses unreservedly.
