Utah Sale Tax: 7.75%

Each booth artist will collect and report their own sales tax for special events.

AATS is required to send a list of participating artists to Utah Tax Special Events.

It’s easy to get a Utah sales tax number at:

https://www.tax-id-bureau.com/utah-sales-tax-license/

Sales books, Commission and fees:

12% Commission - Each artist agrees to keep a 3-part receipt book (provided) with: Date, Customer name, email, cell number and tax amount.  This is a basic requirement for this event.  Before you take down your booth, please pay your commissions online with Venmo, credit card or check and then check out by turning in your completed sales book at the community center, or to an assigned staff member (TBA).  We will issue you a receipt.

Artists provide their own tent and/or display equipment: tent, weights, grids, panels, hangers, zip ties, tables, chair, etc.    White tents provide the best filtered light to view artwork. Blue and Green tents are honestly, terrible.

Grids: A limited number of 7’ grids are available for rent – contact AATS.

Weights: All booths MUST have adequate weights with a minimum of 40 lbs or more on each corner.  NO STAKES ALLOWED. Vendors will pay 100% percent of any damages assessed by Midway City. Use heavy weights sand, water or other weights to secure your tent. Find out what the optimal weight is needed for your booth.  Always be prepared for all kinds of weather. In 2019 one tent was destroyed by wind for lack of adequate weights during non-event hours - lesson learned.

Insurance: Booth artists carry their own insurance.
AATS carries catastrophic insurance for the event, but this does not cover individual booths if there is negligence.  For example, if your display were to fall over and hurt someone, it would be considered your liability. If you're interested in a single event or all-season coverage for 2023, contact your agent, or mine: Richard Bolter 435-671-1330 richbolt@gmail.com, or, Act Insurance ($49 per event) https://www.actinsurance.com/b... and there are others.

Security: AATS does not have overnight security or surveillance.
It is up to each booth artist to determine whether they will remove artwork each night, or not.
There is space inside the Community Center for overnight storage. If you would like to hire a helper for assistance, contact AATS.  We do have several artists who prefer to close up their tents with their artworks in place, overnight.  We have never had a problem with theft or vandalism, however this choice is totally your call. While setting up be careful to inspect your booth location and do not set up directly over a sprinkler head.  The city does not turn off the sprinklers at night.

Unloading & Parking: Artists may unload at the closest available parking spot to their booth. PLEASE, park and unload first and then move your vehicle prior to setting up your booth.  This will allow other artists to park and unload. Set up After you unload. Parking is particularly good on side streets and for artists on the North side of Town Square.
Do not park in the Post Office Parking lot. No art vans or big vehicles should remain parked on Main Street after unloading. Large vehicles block the street view to the event.

Volunteers: Volunteers will be available from time to time to provide water, treats, and short breaks for booth artists.
They are not allowed to sell art or manage sales transactions. Volunteers are not liable for any losses or claims.
We have always had rave reviews about our volunteers. Please let them know you appreciate their service to you.  Their support is a gift.

Assistant Event Manager -  Text E. Bonner (435) 709-1450 if you need a volunteer to give you a break during the event.

Restrooms are available in the Midway Community Center and the Midway Town Hall.

Location of booths: AATS will assign booths with location preferences in the order of final booth payments. AATS reserves the right to make booth location adjustments as needed but will make every attempt to honor artist requests. Booths are spaced 6'-10' apart  which allows viewing on all sides and facilitates easier set-up and take down.  Please be considerate of your fellow artists.

No abandoned booths: Empty, unattended booths detract from the event which affects others and also creates a liability.
We reserve the right to remove abandoned or unattended booths.

Original Art works: We wish to build and maintain a fine art reputation. Please keep 90% or more of you original art on display. Also, this is a small town community event and for that reason, ATTS reserves the right to evaluate and jury all art on display, on site, for appropriate subject matter.

Images Agreement and Permission: All participating AATS artists agree to allow AATS to use images, photos, and video of themselves and their artwork for publicity purposes, and to promote AATS events in general.

Water / Food /Restrooms: Do stay hydrated!  It is, after all, the height of summer.

Ridley’s grocery store is ½ block east of town square, 42 West Main Street in Midway.  Also, Midway Town hall has a new water bottle filling station in the lobby.

Local restaurants, a bank and a bakery are within walking distance of town square. And, we hope to have food vendors and food trucks in the area, TBA.
